She also has extensive experience with insurance and construction law matters, as well as experience with many other types of disputes including but not limited to general commercial matters, such as lease and contract disputes, employment matters, human rights issues, and procurement matters.

Tina started practicing law in 2002, after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Psychology from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University. She practiced civil litigation at a national law firm for almost ten years where she gained experience in handling both simple and complex disputes.  She has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario.

Immediately prior to joining Greenspon, Brown & Associates, she ran her own business as a mediator and arbitrator. Tina is a certified trained mediator and negotiator who has handled and participated in many mediations, negotiations and arbitrations. During the course of her career as a lawyer, Tina Hill has acted as counsel in many negotiations, mediations and arbitrations.  She has also been quoted in articles on alternative dispute resolution and mediation several times in the Lawyers Weekly. She is currently on the roster of Ottawa mediators for Ontario, the Better Business Bureau roster of mediators, as well as the roster of mediators for Pro Bono Law Ontario.

Tina is deeply involved in the community. She has sat on and chaired several Boards, including the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa and the Distress Centre of Ottawa and Region. She has in the past also sat on the Board of the Salvation Army Grace Manor, a long-term care facility in Ottawa, and has provided pro bono legal services to the CHEO BBQ, an annual volleyball and ultimate tournament organized by a grassroots organization to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.  She is always looking for ways to give back to the community.
